What's Covered by Your Dental Insurance?

Dental insurance can be incredibly complicated. It will often cover a specific amount of your dental care and may not provide full coverage. This means it's possible that you will have some kind of expense to pay at the time of your treatment.

If you aren't sure what your dental insurance covers, we highly recommend checking it on your provider's website. Or, you can simply bring your insurance documents along with you to your appointment so we can verify the type of coverage you have and speak to your provider for you.

What Are Covered Benefits and Optional Treatments?

Your insurance plan may detail "covered benefits" and "optional treatments." The former are those that are often recommended for oral health and will be included in your plan's fee schedule. These are often treatments that help repair teeth and/or treat oral conditions, i.e. gum disease.

Optional treatments, however, are deemed "cosmetic." These may not be covered as they aren't seen to be essential. This may include things like teeth whitening and veneers.

We understand that dental procedures aren't always carefully planned. Therefore, when the unexpected happens, we make sure our patients can cover the costs of their emergency dental care quickly, easily, and hassle-free.

We also know that the cost of individual dental care plans can vary dramatically depending on the results required, the treatment chosen, and your unique oral health needs. Our team offers an approximate estimate of your treatment before you go ahead so you know exactly where you are from the get-go. We can even discuss this with your insurance provider if required.
